Shop Your Closet
Shellie Thompson has a knack for teaching her clients how to shop in their own closet! She shares the secrets of how to look fresh and stylish with what you already have in your closet.
The first step is to purge so you can actually see what you have. On average, when I go into someone’s closet, I clean out about 25% of clothes.
Next, you organize to you wardrobe according to tones, and from there, short to long. This way you can assess what you really have.
Then, with maybe just buying a few staple pieces like a white blouse, a pair of jeans, a little black dress and a few simple accessories, you can easily create 30 or more outfits.
After that, I put my clients on a 90-day diet when they’re not allowed to shop! Any money you’d normally spend shopping, put into another account for a vacation or maybe a designer bag!
