Holidays with the Harvey’s

Appetizers

The Harvey’s start off with baked brie and pumpkin spiced bread. The secret to this recipe is to buy the already made mix at Williams-Sonoma. Click here for the recipe.

Then mix it together, add some pecans and bake it in a bread maker. This way it cooks perfectly while also leaving a delicious aroma throughout our home. But if you don’t have a bread maker a regular loaf pan will do just fine.

Personal Pizzas

The Harvey’s use ready-made dough that you find in the bakery at the store. Roll it out, then place it on a pizza pan with holes. They like to use the quick pizza sauce by RAGU. Then set out an array of toppings like Boar’s Head pepperoni and browned Tennessee sausage and then layer it on. Add lots of mozzarella cheese. Pop that in the oven and it comes out delicious.

Dessert

The Harvey’s start with a hot chocolate station with toppings like marshmallows, candy canes and lots of whip cream. To spice things up for the adults, add some Amarula liquor. Amarula is a South African cream liquor. They also have a build-your-own ice cream station filled with lots of toppings. For the adults, add some Bailey’s Irish Cream to your ice cream for a little kick. And Lastly, a fondue station with an assortment of snacks and fruit that are perfect for dipping.
